Truetannage ("we", "us", "our") is a leather sourcing and manufacturing business based in Kasur, Punjab, Pakistan. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, client portal, and admin systems, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

This policy applies to visitors of truetannage.com, users of the client portal, and anyone who submits a quote request, sample request, or contact form to us.

When you request a quote, create a portal account, or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, company name, work email, phone number, destination country and port, product specifications, and any notes you include.

When you create a client portal account, we also store a securely hashed password — we never store or have access to your password in plain text.

Once you become a client, we additionally hold records related to your orders: purchase specifications, sample verdicts, quality control reports and photos, shipment documents, invoices, and payment records, all tied to your account so you can review them at any time.

Our servers automatically log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and diagnostic purposes.

We use the information you provide to: respond to quote and sample requests, prepare and send itemized quotes, create and manage your portal account, process and track orders, coordinate quality control and logistics, issue invoices and record payments, and communicate with you about the status of your request or order.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell your information to third parties.

We share information only where necessary to fulfill an order: with tanneries and suppliers producing your leather (specification details only, never your contact information unless you ask us to make an introduction), with freight forwarders and logistics partners to arrange shipment, and with payment processors to record and reconcile invoices.

We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a valid request from Pakistani or destination-country customs or tax authorities.

We never add your details to a marketing list or share them with unrelated third parties without your consent.

We retain quote requests and lead information for as long as reasonably useful for following up on your enquiry, or until you ask us to delete it. Order, invoice, and shipment records tied to a completed transaction are retained for as long as required by Pakistani commercial and tax record-keeping obligations, typically several years.

If you ask us to delete your account and we have no ongoing legal obligation to retain the underlying order records, we will deactivate your portal access and remove personal contact details from active systems.

Portal passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Access to client, order, and financial data inside our admin systems is restricted by role — only the team members who need a given piece of information (sales, sourcing, QC, logistics, finance) can see it, and every meaningful change is recorded in an internal audit log.

No system is completely immune to risk, and we encourage you to use a unique password for your portal account and to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You can review and update your company profile and contact details at any time from your portal Settings page. You can ask us, by emailing info@truetannage.com, to: send you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, or delete your account and associated contact details, subject to the retention obligations described above.

Our website uses only the essential cookies required to keep you signed in to the client portal and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time as our systems evolve. The date below reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how client data is used will be communicated directly to active portal users.
