Home/How It Works

Seven steps from first message to freight on the water.

Below is exactly what happens, what you do, what we do, and how long each stage takes. The same seven steps run live in your client portal, so you always know precisely where your order stands.

STEP 01

Inquiry

Same day
You do
Tell us the article, finish, thickness and rough quantity — a WhatsApp line is enough.
We do
We confirm it is something our vetted tanneries actually make, and flag anything that will affect price or lead time before you commit.
STEP 02

Quote

Within 24 hours
You do
Review an itemized quote — nothing hidden, nothing bundled.
We do
Price per sq ft, MOQ, lead time, and the Incoterm you asked for, in writing. Ask as many follow-ups as you need.
STEP 03

Sample

3–7 days
You do
Approve a physical swatch before any bulk order. Sample cost is credited against your first order.
We do
Cut and courier a labelled sample kit — the exact article, finish and colour you will receive at scale.
STEP 04

Confirmed

1–2 days
You do
Place the order and send the agreed advance.
We do
Lock the hides against your approved sample, issue a proforma invoice, and schedule production with a named contact.
STEP 05

Production

2–4 weeks
You do
Watch it happen in your portal — no chasing for updates.
We do
Cut, tan and finish your lot. Milestone photos posted as each stage clears.
STEP 06

Quality Check

1–3 days
You do
See the inspection before it ships — approve or raise anything.
We do
Inspect every lot sq ft by sq ft against your approved sample. Timestamped photos and a scored checklist go to your portal.
STEP 07

Shipped

Per Incoterm
You do
Pay the balance and receive full export documentation.
We do
Handle export clearance, freight and paperwork — B/L, packing list, certificate of origin, invoice — to your port.
Payment terms

Structured so neither of us carries all the risk.

Standard terms

A 30% advance confirms your order and locks the hides against your approved sample. The 70% balance is due against QC-passed photos, before the bill of lading is released.

30% advance · 70% on QC pass

Repeat clients

Once we have a track record together, we consider net terms and split larger runs across production milestones. We would rather earn the flexibility than assume it.

How you can pay

Bank wire (T/T) to our business account for most orders, Wise for smaller sample and trial runs, and irrevocable Letters of Credit at sight for orders above USD 25,000.

T/T · Wise · LC at sight

We accept bank wire (SWIFT), Wise, and irrevocable Letters of Credit at sight for orders above USD 25,000. First-order buyers can request an escrow arrangement — we'd rather earn the trust than assume it.

Incoterms, in plain language

Who pays, who insures, where your risk begins.
